what our 4th looked like

Hi there, Reader!

250 years! That's a big birthday, right? We spent it as a family with some of us golfing, all of us fighting to hold the baby and enjoying some food to honor our nation's birthday.

Oh and of course, rain. We have had so much rain this summer, or at least it feels that way. And most of it hasn't been gentle, sit-on-the-porch, rain but big, showy storms with lots of flash.

So most of the fireworks around us were cancelled but we made a day of it with provolone-covered Philly cheesesteaks piled into rolls. They seemed fitting instead of our usual brat/burger menu.
