Every time I bring this simple bruschetta somewhere, I get asked, "what is in this?".
Tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, good olive oil. That's it. No vinegar, no lemon — nothing.

My other favorite tip is using the teeniest, tiniest tomatoes. Sparklers if you can find them. Cherry or grape if you can't. They're sweet and consistent in every season, which is why I can make this in January and July.
The last tip: rest the mix at room temp for at least 30 minutes before serving. This time is crucial for all the flavors to co-mingle as the tomatoes settle.
Make a big batch of this bruschetta mix on the Friday before Memorial Day and pull it out all weekend. If it lasts...
